Artist statement This are my favorite images because the picture on the left gives a very bright, and vibrant feel. But, the picture on the right gives a natural, older feeling. These are pink blossom trees that are growing near my home. Whenever I go on walks, I always stop to view these trees and their beauty. I used the filter paint dubs on the oil painting because it still made the image look realistic.
The Grass is Greener on the Other side Glistening Sun
Artist Statement I was really surprised at how clear and how much detail you could see within the grass. Such as the dirt, the veins , and the weed. I am also really pleased with how the oil painting came out because it gives a yellow undertone. Also with how there is some purple on the grass. It gave the image unrealistic features, but the base a natural. I used a total of two different filters, and I used each filter twice.
Blue Skys
Painted Trees
Artist Statement I took this picture in my friends neighborhood. I saw these trees and imagined what it would look like when I had edited it. And it turned out just like how I imagined. I saw an image in a brochure about a nature area, and the trees that were in the brochure, looks just like the tree on the left. I always thought that trees were just vibrant and the bright color was natural, but now I know the editing behind it, and how natural they make it look.
Golden Reflection
Skimpy Trees
Artist Statement These images were took in a forest. I like these images because of how skinny that the trees are. This "skinniness" really shows the negative space of the area such as the sky and trees behind it. I also like this picture because of the golden light that are on the trees. These trees really make me feel like I'm in a rainforest because these are similar to the tree that are there.
Hidden Dandilion
Color Appearance
Artist Statement I took this photo on the ground of a nature reserve area. I took these photos because all I was seeing was grass and pants that looked poisonous. But then I found a dandelion that was just randomly on the floor. I captured this image to show hidden beauty and how you can find it in the rarest places. I edited the oil painting to make it look like a painting that was painted a long time ago. I really enjoyed being outside and taking these images. There were many things that I discovered.
